Genesis is an ongoing series of diverse portraits of people I know and interact with frequenty, or even those I do not know at all. All of the pieces in this series have been created with black ink and some have been altered with watercolor.

Genesis got it’s name because all people are created in God’s image. In the beginning, we have the creation of Adam and Eve and no identified race. They aren’t Hebrews, Egyptian, or Canaanites. We didn’t start with a story of race, but with a story of all people being created equal. Genesis 1:27 says, “so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
